- • Note that this united Earldom, Lordship and Barony of Arran being a duplicate of the peerage (due to post 1874 conveyancing legal reforms) is recognised here as "baron of" - and by tradition for female barons Lady Arran - following the practice of Lord Lyons historically up to the 2000s, unlike other earldoms there is no recognition from any Lord Lyon for this title, however a differentiated historical spelling could be an option as the original peerage Earl of Arran is extant, and there is no letter from that peer for his permission (if such a letter can be procured then this council could review its decision).
